Mark co-founded Cavender & Hill Properties with partner, Richard Hill in 1991 and oversees all activities for the firm. He has been active in commercial real estate in San Antonio since joining Trammell Crow Company in 1983. Prior to Trammell Crow, he was employed with the Management Consulting Services division of Ernst & Young in San Antonio.
Over his 40-year career, Mark has closed over $350 million in commercial transactions representing over 14 million square feet. He has also overseen the development of over 1.8 million square feet of new industrial space in the San Antonio market.
Mark holds a BBA and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
Ty joined Cavender & Hill in 1999. Since then, he has completed over 1,300 commercial transactions valued at over $1.1 billion and representing over 27 million square feet.
Ty is regarded in the industry as one of the city’s most seasoned and knowledgeable industrial real estate experts in San Antonio and surrounding areas.
He was previously employed as a leasing representative for Byco, Inc., and has worked as a Petroleum Landman for Sasser Oil & Gas, Inc.
Ty received a Bachelor of Arts from Texas Christian University (1996), is a licensed Real Estate Salesman and CCIM candidate.
Mr. Conger joined C&H in 2007 as a specialist in leasing, acquisition & disposition of commercial and industrial properties. Since then, he has completed over 600 transactions valued at over $200 million and representing over 6.4 million square feet of commercial space.
Hunter services the San Antonio area and the surrounding submarkets as far north as Schertz and Boerne. His enthusiasm for gaining market knowledge and fostering quality client relationships makes him a valuable asset to the Cavender & Hill team.
Hunter was previously employed with Lee & Associates where he gained the necessary tools and work ethic to be successful in a large industrial market.
Hunter received a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Christian University (2005) and is a licensed Real Estate Salesperson.
Lee joined Cavender & Hill in 2017 and specializes in tenant representation, project leasing, and sales of industrial properties in the greater San Antonio area. Since joining C&H, Lee has completed over 380 commercial transactions valued at over $263 million and representing over 6.8 million square feet.
Lee’s commercial real estate background started in 2015 with Reata Real Estate Services in San Antonio, where he helped launch their industrial real estate department.
Prior to commercial real estate Lee worked as a petroleum landman throughout all of Texas where he focused on negotiating oil and gas leases, title research, and title opinion curative.
Lee received a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University in 2010. He is a licensed Real Estate Salesperson and a member of SIOR.
Ford joined the C&H team in 2019 after graduating from The University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Economics. His previous work experience includes internships with C&H, Lincoln Property Company and Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson.
Ford will be focused on aggressively looking for industrial landlord and tenant representation opportunities in the San Antonio market.
Joe joined Cavender & Hill Properties after four very successful years with Grubb & Ellis Company (as a result of a merger with Aequus Real Estate Services, a prominent local commercial real estate firm) where he was a Senior Vice President. At Aequus, he served as Director of Marketing for the Industrial Division where he oversaw the leasing and marketing efforts for a portfolio of over 4.7 million square feet of industrial properties. Other responsibilities included the selection of general contractors and oversight of architectural and drafting services.
Joe has been a commercial real estate professional since 1981 and has closed or leased well in excess of $600 million in real estate revenues involving over 1,000 transactions. Joe obtained a B.S. from the University of Arkansas in 1981 and holds a current Texas Real Estate Sales License.
Mrs. Culbertson has over 25 years of experience in management and development of commercial, retail, office and industrial property. Prior to joining Cavender & Hill, she managed a range of commercial investment properties at Noddle Companies, based in Omaha, Nebraska, for several ownership entities in multiple states. Prior to that, she managed commercial property for CB Richard Ellis. She has worked directly for owners, developers, as well as third-party management firms. Marcia has significant experience in commercial investment budget planning, project and facility development, capital improvement, maintenance operations and leasing.
Marcia holds the Building Owner & Manager’s Association (BOMA) designation and has been certified as a Real Property Administrator (RPA) since 2007.
Roland has been with Cavender & Hill since 1998. He started out as a Controller and was later promoted to Vice President and Partner with the organization. He oversees all accounting functions along with human resources. Through the years he has interacted with the clients to help them achieve their financial goals for the properties they own. Prior to Cavender and Hill, Roland use to work at Security Capital Group in various accounting roles in the Multi-Family Residential division.
Roland holds a BBA in Finance from The University of Texas at San Antonio (1988).
Roland enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, dining out, reading, and watching movies, TV series, and sports.
Kim is a San Antonio native and was raised an Army brat, spending her first eighteen years in TX, OK, KS, NY and Germany, where she graduated from Nürnberg American High School in Fürth. Kim also attended the University of Kansas and George Mason University.
In September 2013, she joined the Cavender & Hill team as the Office Manager, where she supervises the daily operations, supports the accounting department, and contributes to the property management team.
Before joining Cavender & Hill, Kim worked at Barshop & Oles Company, a full-service commercial real estate firm in San Antonio. She also gained experience working for the U.S. Senate, U.S. Department of Defense, and the U.S. Department of State, for the former United States Senator, John G. Tower, in Washington D.C.
Ilse moved to San Antonio in 2014 to be closer to her family, although she originally grew up on Long Island and in New York City. She earned her Associate’s degree from Johnson and Wales University in Providence, RI. Ilse became a valued member of the Cavender & Hill team in 2015. After a brief hiatus during which she honed her skills as a real estate manager at CBRE, Ilse returned to Cavender & Hill in 2022, taking on the role of a property manager.
In addition to her background in property management, Ilse spent 24 years at Almanac Realty as the Vice President of Investor Relations. In this role, she managed correspondence with pension fund investors, handled capital calls and distributions, and oversaw fund accounting for the FARS Funds platform. Ilse is also a licensed real estate professional.
Outside her professional commitments, Ilse serves as the Secretary for her neighborhood Homeowners Association (HOA) and volunteers at Alamo City PitBull Rescue. She has a deep affection for dogs and enjoys exploring the sport of pickleball.
Megan joined Cavender and Hill in March 2021 as an intern and was quickly promoted to an Assistant Property Manager. Fresh out of college, Megan has been learning the ropes of industrial property management interacting with tenants, landlords and service vendors. She is currently assisting in the management of over 600,000 square feet of industrial and some office tackling the tasks of budgeting and forecasting, rent collections, and service agreements. Megan holds a BBA in Management from The University of Texas at San Antonio (2020) and was a Summa Cum Laude graduate.
Megan enjoys working out, singing, dancing and reading. She loves hanging out with her family and friends and especially her dog Daisy.
Scott joined Cavender & Hill Properties in 2007 with 20 years of extensive experience in the accounting industry. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a BBA in Accounting.
Scott is involved in all aspects of the accounting process for 25+ managed commercial properties. Scott is originally from the small town of La Vernia where he is currently raising his family.
Stephen Slansky brings over three decades of service to Cavender & Hill, where he has been a vital part of the team for 36 years. Stephen graduated from Texas State University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and a concentration in Horticulture.
In his role as Maintenance Supervisor, Stephen has a wide range of responsibilities including customer service, electrical work, plumbing, landscaping, life safety, and the maintenance of fire sprinkler systems and fire alarms. In addition, he collaborates with vendors, providing valuable support to the project management team across various construction projects.
Stephen previously owned S & S Lawn Services, a company offering a range of services, such as landscaping, shredding, mowing for residential and commercial properties, and the installation of irrigation systems. This entrepreneurial endeavor allowed Stephen to develop a comprehensive understanding of the industry, contributing to the wealth of knowledge he brings to Cavender & Hill. Outside of work, Stephen is a train enthusiast and indulges in exploring architecture and art.
Michael Fuentes recently joined Cavender & Hill in 2023 as our Maintenance Technician for Industrial and Commercial Properties. With over 30 years of experience in Customer Service, Mechanical, Electrical, and Carpentry, he brings a wealth of expertise to our team. His diverse background includes serving as the Director of Guest Experience at San Antonio Zoo, General Manager at Kiddie Park, General Manager at Learning Express, Electrician at Palau Electric, and Carpenter/Plumbing at Total Improvements. Additionally, he pursued Automotive Technology at St. Phillips College in 1993.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys traveling, camping, skiing, spending time at the beach and river, hunting, and indulging his passion for food. As a self-proclaimed foodie, he loves BBQ’n, cooking, and exploring local and out-of-town restaurants.
